Linkage: Release Dates & Trailer Round Up

Quite a bit of cool stuff to look forward to for genre fanatics, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and even theatrical releases are all on their way.

Below is a list of some of the ones I'm most excited over. Keep in mind the release dates are all tentative and can (and in some cases have already) be changed.

Bait (2012)

DVD/Blu-Ray Release Date: 09-18-2012

A freak tsunami traps shoppers at a coastal Australian supermarket inside the building - along with a 12-foot Great White Shark.

It's no secrect ho much I love animal attack movies, with shark movies in paticular being high on my list. I saw the trailer for this over a year ago but it's just now making it's way down to the US. I have high exspectations that I hope wont be disapointed. But something tells me after a steady diet of SyFy monster shark movies that wont be the case.

The Cabin in the Woods (2011)

DVD/Blu-Ray Release Date: 09-18-2012

Five friends go for a break at a remote cabin in the woods, where they get more than they bargained for. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods.

What a poloerizing film. You either loved it or hated it. It's been described as a self aware horror film. That's actully an understatement. There is a lot more going on here than a wink, wink from the director to the viewer. I enjoyed watching it on the big sceen and seeing local jack asses who just didn't get it walk out early. I say if your on the fence, check it out.

Piranha 3DD (2012)
DVD/Blu-Ray Release Date: 09-04-2012

After the events at Lake Victoria, the pre-historic school of blood-thirsty piranhas make their way into a newly opened waterpark.

The first Piranha remake caught a lot of shit for being a little too tounge and cheek. With scences framed exclusivly to show boobs and blood. If you didn't like the first one, don't even bother with this sequel. For those who don't mind a B-Movie from a big studio, then have at it.

Strippers vs. Werewolves (2012)
DVD/Blu-Ray Release Date: 09-25-2012

When werewolf chief Jack Ferris is accidentally killed in a strip club the girls who work there have until the next full moon before his bloodthirsty wolfpack seek murderous retribution.

This looks positivly smashing! It's got to be better than the Zombies vs. Strippers movies of the last few years.
